I grew up coming here. Lucy was the sweetest woman and loved her restaurant. She would've been so sad to see what's happened to it. Come back. :(

My absolute favorite Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles. I get the chili relleno meal and it comes with DELICIOUS vegetarian soup of the day (usually lentil yuuuuuum) AND delicious salad! ( hard to come by these days.. a meal that includes soup and salad) Their salad dressing is a secret recipe and I would buy it if I could! It's a butter dressing and it's the most amazing dressing I've ever had. The meal itself is massive and never disappoints. I am waiting ever so patiently for Lucy's to open back up since the pandemic :)

Old school since 1964. I don't know what's up with all the haters but I brought my girl with me and she is a very picky eater and she loved this historic place. The place was empty at Monday around 500pm so I expected the worse. The place is dark, spacious, and the walls are lined with photographs of the famous people who've eaten here. The server was friendly and brought us warm chips and salsa, we devoured them. We ordered a combo plate with a taco, cheese enchilada, tamale, beans, rice, salad, and lentil soup. We shared this plate of food that cost $19 and we were full and satisfied. It's not ELA Mexican food but it was good and we enjoyed our early dinner.
